I decided to plan a trip to Florida to meet my literary agent, visit friends, and nurture myself at the sea. I want a break before entering the last crazy phase of my book launch – a frenzy of interviews, publicity, and author events. (Choosing to be a Medium comes out on March 8!) I contacted my Florida peeps and discovered that they all live by water, close to the ocean, near each other, and have time for me! It’s working out perfectly. I’ll even check out an oceanfront resort for a mediumship development retreat for next winter.

I seldom use cards but was inspired to pick one the other night from my Nature’s Whispers deck. I got “Adventure,” complete with water and a seashell. And of course, it says, “get outdoors and travel,” and tells me I’m going to “feel so much better after taking a break” and “there is no feeling quite like having the wind blow through your hair or the sun on your back.” I forgot how cool oracle cards are, and I’m so ready for my adventure!
